Social Cognitive Science Seminar Series

The Social Cognitive Seminar Brown Bag (SCSBB) features ongoing research related to social and cognitive psychology. Speakers are comprised of students and faculty members in the CoPsy department, as well as guest speakers from other departments or universities. Neither speakers nor audience members have to identify as social psychologists or cognitive scientists, and the atmosphere is always kept friendly and casual.

  • SCSBB takes place on Fridays from 12pm-1:30pm either virtually or in Metcalf Research Building, Room 305 (Dome Room). Please see the schedule below for specific details. Talks are open to all members of the Brown community.
  • Our Fall 2026 line-up will feature the following speakers: Tobias Gerstenberg (9/18; virtual), Chujun Lin (10/9; virtual), Jerry (Yi-Fei) Hu (10/16; in-person), Corey Cusimano (10/30; in-person), Kate Nussenbaum (11/13; in-person), and Huanqing Wang (12/4; virtual).
