Cognitive and Psychological Sciences

Social Cognitive Science Seminar Series

The Social Brown Bag (SCSBB) is a Friday talk series featuring ongoing research related to social and cognitive psychology. Some speakers are students and faculty members in the CoPsy department, others are guest speakers who are visiting from other departments, schools, or countries. Neither speakers nor audience have to identify themselves as social psychologists, and the atmosphere is always friendly and casual.

  • SCSBB takes place on Fridays from 12pm-1:30pm either virtually or in Metcalf Research Building, Room 305 (Dome Room). We see the information below for specific details. Talks are open to all members of the Brown community.
  • Our Spring 2026 line-up will feature the following speakers: Emma Templeton (2/6; virtual), Jo Warren (2/20; virtual), Marco Wittman (2/20; virtual), Sarthak Chandra (3/6; virtual), Xuechunzi Bai (3/13; in-person), Alice Xia (3/20; in-person), Krishn Bera (4/3; in-person), Ajua Duker (4/10; virtual), Molly Byrne (4/24; in-person), and Jerry (Yi-Fei) Hu (5/8; in-person).
